Elddis operate one of the largest and most modern vehicle fleets in the North East of England.
Our fleet of over 450 vehicles and trailers cover every major centre in the UK, everyday. Operating 365 days per year, 24 hours per day, there is always an Elddis vehicle on the road.
Our size and scope of operation gives our clients unrivalled flexibility to react and deliver their every requirement in the current ever demanding market.
The long distance fleet is designed to operate at the maximum permitted 44 tonne gross vehicle weight, which gives a load capacity of up to 28.5 tonnes. In addition the use of high cube trailers with up to 3.2m loading apertures, gives a volume carrying capacity of over 100 cubic metres.
Whether the product is bulky or heavy, whether it is a full load or part load Elddis have the solution.
Our Transport operations are supported by a dedicated customer services team, 24 hour Management and state of the art IT. Our vehicles are tracked for additional security and quality management. Customers can view service updates on-line, as well as viewing proof of delivery paperwork post delivery.

Tracking
Our fleet is constantly tracked using up-to-date, fully integrated telematics software that provides us with highly accurate live reporting and giving our staff on the traffic desk full visibility for your goods. Our IT solution is provided by Mandata and integrates all aspects of the business including Traffic Planning, Customer Service, POD control, Vehicle Tracking and Accounts and Admin functions.
Traffic Office
This office is open 24 hours a day, every day of the week, from Sunday morning to Saturday afternoon. This means that regardless of the time or day, the office is available to assist with any transport-related needs that customers may have.
In addition to the around-the-clock availability of the traffic office, Elddis Transport also has a dedicated customer services operation. This team is specifically focused on reacting to the transport needs of customers and ensuring that their requirements are met. Whether customers need to arrange a delivery, track a shipment, or request a specific transport service, the customer services team is available to assist.
