No order is too small or too large for Elddis Transport and the scope of our operation allows us to meet any customer need. Flexibility is key and whether your products are bulky or heavy, whether it is a full load or a part load, we have the solution to your transport needs.

 

We operate a fleet of 150 vehicles; 120 44-tonne artics on our long distance fleet and 30 18-tonne rigids with tail-lifts. Our fleet is based at our sites in the North East, Worksop and Manchester.

 

The vehicles are mostly Mercedes-Benz and have an average age of less than 2.5 years. The local Mercedes-Benz dealer; Bell Truck Sales, operate from our head office site, ensuring the fleet is maintained to meticulous standards and has the reliability our 24/7 operation and customers demand.

 

But we can go even further than that. In collaboration with our customers we have trailers that are designed for high cube and high weight, meaning we have the capacity for up to 20% more of your products on our trailers than standard vehicles. We also run specialist trailers that can carry double the number of pallets than normal and a highly efficient drawbar that can transport as much as 90 pallets in one journey.

 

Our fleet is constantly tracked using up-to-date, fully integrated telematics software that provides us with highly accurate live reporting and giving our staff on the traffic desk full visibility for your goods. Our IT solution is provided by Mandata and integrates all aspects of the business including Traffic Planning, Customer Service, POD control, Vehicle Tracking and Accounts and Admin functions.

 

The traffic office operates 24 hours a day from Sunday morning right through to Saturday afternoon and is supported by a 24/5 customer service operation reacting to your transport needs.
